You overestimate the power of the enemy. We spent billions on Homeland Security and they did a good job. We could have saved $750B on Iraq and achieved the same thing. We could have also secured our borders and deported all the illegal aliens for a billion or two saved from not spending it in Iraq. We could have healthcare for everyone and solved the Social Security crisis, if we hadn't gone to Iraq. We could have fixed roads and crumbling infrastructure right here in the US, if we hadn't spent it in Iraq. What a waste.
