My intention was to say that future trends are very difficult to see at this point and I am strongly influenced by concerns that the present recession is highly likely to turn into a depression. In that case, everything gets punished. In the last depression oil got down to $0.50 and worse. Agreed, "this time it is different", we are much more dependent on energy and we face peak oil. However, as times get worse I think that demand will deteriorate faster than depletion, which will be a big negative on POO for quite some time. I think it is waaaaay too early to be buying energy stocks. BWDIK!!! Best to all, JRH
