This grown up when young would put the stew on the exhaust manifold of his car and drive out to the beer party and have hot eats when I got there:)

I did have to laugh...when you talked about "tinfoil" and cooking, for some reason the thought of Hobo Stew came to mind.

That sounds like good camping food.
