Well... I've ALWAYS been a Fiscal Conservative....

(Strong proponent of the Balanced Budget amendment to our Constitution --- which I personally use as my own private 'truth test' to make my mind up about who is truly fiscally conservative, and who merely 'plays that role on TV', 'talks the talk' but is unwilling to 'walk the walk'. <g>)

And my 'smaller government is generally much better than bigger government is' views tend to come down on the Libertarian side of the fence for justification --- where I believe that the less government tries to intrude in private lives, or dictate same, the better off --- freer, richer, more vibrant, our whole society is.

I've usually got no personal problem with EITHER 'social conservatives' or 'social liberals' until/unless they want to use the power of GOVERNMENT to enforce their personal views on the citizenry at large....
