What... you mean the old law about 'red-lining' areas and refusing to consider any loans there? What about it? (You can't possibly believe that that is the cause of the entire Global financial meltdown, can you?) If so... how do you explain the $54 TRILLION in unregulated CDSs that are outstanding. $50 Trillion is easily one hundred times the value of all the subprime mortgages extended in all of America (many of which are performing just fine...) over the entire last five years. It's more than the gross economic product of the entire world for a whole year....
