I'm sure folks here have seen the interview with Ayers... confirms it for me, Obama is a terrorist.

He is a close personal "family friend" of a terrorist. That would make him a terrorist pursuant to the Bush Doctrine, would it not?

It is interesting he shows up TV a week after the election, though, after remaining silent during the entire campaign.

I'm hoping Hillary is our next Secretary of State - just to give Dave and his ilk TWO new ulcers! Sec. Defense would be even better!

Bush picks US prosecutor to oversee bailout

By DEB RIECHMANN | Associated Press | 3 hours, 56 minutes ago
( Dave! Bush finally realized that someone needs to oversee where the $700 billion is going! )

President George W. Bush on Friday picked a federal prosecutor in New York to be a Treasury-based special inspector general to oversee the massive $700 billion financial rescue plan.

If confirmed by Senate, Neil Barofsky, an assistant U.S. attorney, will be responsible for conducting audits and investigations of how the government spends the bailout money. He will also will report on the value of any assets acquired by the government and why they were purchased.

Currently, the job is being handled by the Treasury Department's inspector general _ Eric Thorson _ who has expressed concerns about the difficulty of properly overseeing the complex program in addition to his regular responsibilities.

Prior to his job as assistant U.S. attorney and chief of a mortgage fraud group, Barofsky was a lead prosecutor in a securities fraud unit. Previously, he worked for an international narcotics trafficking unit.

The establishment of a special inspector general dedicated to the program was one of the provisions added to the bailout legislation to secure its passage by Congress. Other provisions intended to boost oversight of the massive program included a special oversight board and regular government audits.

I hadn't seen the interview. I am one of those Americans who could care less what Ayers did 40 years ago and the impact he has had on Obama. From those '60s photos, he looks to have been one arrogant human being.

RW, > I'm sure folks here have seen the interview with Ayers... confirms it for me, Obama is a terrorist.

Ayers is one major SOB ... claiming what he did wasn't "terrorism."

Yeah, I'm sure whoever mailed that envelope full of white powder to the Mormon church would agree.

Not to mention the jerks who vandalize Hummer dealerships. Or bomb animal testing facilities.
