"I guess we could go all the way back, couldn't we?" Well... if you truly want a comprehensive look at recent US Presidents and their last minute pardons you would have to. If you don't look at at least a couple of Prezs... then you would have nothing to compare to... no way to say what is 'normal practice' and what is not. No need perhaps to look at what every President did, but looking at what just the last 4,5, or 6 or so did doesn't see like much of a burden (to find the truth of the matter).
