There's a restaurant in old downtown Denver called The Buckhorn. They have Rocky Mountain Oysters on the menu. There was a lot of interest in them when the Dems were here for their convention. Mostly among the Fox news crew. Seems like someone admitted trying some.

Some years back, when Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbel were the hosts of the Today Show, they were doing a multi-city tour. Each day a different city with a table full of local cuisine. Soft Shell crabs in Baltimore, Salmon in Seattle, etc.

On the Denver stop, they had the usual steak and such, and a platter of rocky mountain oysters. Gumbel engineered it so Pauley was all but forced to eat one on air. She got this look on her face like she was going to upchuck, and turned away. Then the camera cut away to something else.

It was hysterical.
