Most of them had decent if not excellent capitalization before the ABCP market vaporized. They've been somewhat burned by the game being changed in midstream, to mix metaphors. And they are important for JQP and "main street", so if Bernanke isn't just blowing smoke about helping main street, he shoulda included them in the CP plan. All the majors will survive until the next time funds are requested, and I'm guessing that when they go the Clowngress to ask for more dough, this will be demanded.
