How in !@#$ else do they raise cash for redemptions? by asking Paulson for a bailout?, LOL. They don't care....it's not their money. They sold and the sheep just followed them, IMO.

If it's just hedge funds needing cash why sell on the lows?

Answer = margin clerks.

They don't care what time of day it is, how much your stock has gone down or how much money you owe your parents. When the margin bell rings, they sell whatever you got... Pronto.
