<<David....lets assume that every CPU that INTC sells ends up in a PC....the PC usually comes with 32M DRAM. So if INTC sells 1,000 CPU's, then 32,000M of DRAM will be needed to stuff the PC's.

So, if INTC's CPU sales are slowing or demand is droping then DRAM needs for new PC's will also slow. DRAM for new PC's is a much bigger market than the upgrade market.>>>

Very good statements !
Here is another example:
If it's get very very cloudy, it is going to rain !
Now ! How do I figure out when it is going to get "very very cloudy" ?

What you say is true, but how do you know what you say will happen ?

dave, remember that cyrix and amd processors also need dram to run ;-)

demand is great and kicking. it has been for 2 years now. supply is just much, much greater. it will continue to be greater until we see CAPITULATION on a large scale. you know my fav candidate ;-)
