I think we should always be vigilant and watch over all of our leaders as Americans first and partisans last. That trip to Germany did open my eyes a bit. I had to wonder on many occasions during my life how any group of people could be so blind and allow the horror of the holocaust. I was surprised to find them just like us in many ways. Of course we have the obvious differences like customs and language, but Germans were basically just men and women trying to get ahead and raise their kids. Economic strife hit Germany and people were looking for a scapegoat to blame. Hitler rallied them against the Jews and used it as a catalyst to his personal fame and wealth. Obama raised millions of dollars during this campaign season and he gets to keep what he didn't use.............I haven't noticed any large donation to the Katrina Fund or other charities that help his people.............do you? Where did all the money go?
