There are plenty of advisors that are humble and acknowledge their mistakes quite often. Even Buffet is more than open about his mistakes. Bob has been wrong about so many things lately, that he could take up a lot of time discussing them, but that might not help selling his marketTIMER newsletter.

In addition to Bob's recent admission, can you point to any other financial newsletter writers who have gone out of their way to point out their errors to their subscribers?

Quatro comments:
Octavian, I usually do NOT act on Cramers stock-specific advise, although I do find him entertaining in a Barnum & Bailey sort of way. I think he has some excellent MACRO commentary and advise, but his MICRO (stock-picking record) advise certainly falls short.

That said, he usually does admit his mistakes, particularly the BIG Bloopers.

Cheerio and BOOYAH!

I have only received Bob Brinker's newsletter, although I am now looking for alternatives, or maybe none at all. I guess Bob's arrogance, condescending attitude toward those who disagree with him, and belittling of anyone who questioned his ability is what really got to me. Forget the salesman aspect of it. I have never found that he had that high a regard for his customers.

BTW, do you ever talk about his specific recommendations?
