This might very well be the case. I really have no clue.

I do know that Ben Bernanke is not a gold bug, and in fact, sees the gold standard as one of the contributing factors to the 1st great depression.

Time will tell, but I suspect gold bugs will continued be disappointed going forward. I continue to hold some shares and physical... in case.

However, if things get so bad that a gold standard is reinstated, holders of physical might well be subject to new laws of taxation or confiscation.

History might not repeat its self entirely, but Is suspect it might rhyme a bit..
