Sam,

The new Barracuda products are coming out late this quarter. They will ramp to volume in the first quarter of next year (six digit qtys).

Also, I just felt like talking QNTM down a little since everyone has been so wildly bullish on it.

Regards,

<<If you read the QNTM thread, you know that I don't think that Quantum has "just
finished a run" or that DLT will "run out of steam" anytime soon. They seem to have a
pretty good handle on things; if their claims about the architecture of DLT being
intrinsically superior to their competition (read Sony, I think), then it could go for quite
awhile, especially if they can get momentum in international markets as well as US,
which they are just now turning their attention to.>>
What I find interesting is the talk of moving upscale to the point where DLT in conjuction with libraries can back up mainframes (esp with next generation DLT). This is a huge market and I recall Exabyte once commenting that their Mammoth in conjuction with libraries could do this backup dramatically cheaper.
