I have a feeling Putin is wanting to restore the Soviet Union to it's old grandeur. Many of it's citizens probably are backing him. The media is almost worthless now as a news source...............they are too worried about ratings so they broadcast what they think most Americans want............and that's tabloid stories. A good example was that Anna Nicole Smith crapola. There must have been people that liked the story but I ended up turning off the TV...............and I don't watch it much to begin with.
