Patricia, i think some people are just insecure and don't like anything they don't understand (and men typically DO NOT understand women*). i'm on a "joke" email list and i got two blatantly racist "jokes" since obama has been elected. one was a dollar bill with "black face" on it. the other had michelle obama evolving from monkeys and palin being created by god. so many people are just ignorant. it isn't about black or white, man or woman, it is about good and bad - but many people can't wrap their minds about something that actually takes thought and insight. *be very careful of the man that does understand women... they tend to take advantage of them. ps - my observation is that men take advantage of women by avoiding marriage and women take advantage of men by marrying them. middle ground would be nicer for both parties, for some perplexing reason, it rarely happens.
