as your income increases the IRS looks to disallow certain 'favored' tax deductions.

Otherwise known as "tax preference items."

Includes addition of personal exemptions, the standard deduction, such things as refunds of state and local taxes.

I don't know, I don't do my taxes and never have..except when they take it out directly.
