Re: "HAve you ever had any dealings with Arabs? IF so you will understand how precarious that "pact" really is. Lots can happen in three years and the gov't of Iraq will likely change leaders multiple times during that three year period."

What the Hell are you talking about?

(Think you must have been swilling some extremely *powerful* brand of reality-distorting Cool Aid....)

The government of the United States of America, and the government of the sovereign nation of Iraq have agreed to a DATE CERTAIN deadline for full withdrawal of American armed forces from Iraq.

(And, the only remaining pressure coming from Iraq is from the Shiite opposition party headed by Al Sadr --- who is demanding an *immediate withdrawal*, his group doesn't believe that the 2011 deadline is near to soon enough.)

Bush has agreed, the government of Iraq has agreed, and the incoming US administration agrees. (In fact --- reports out of Iraq say that the ONLY REASON the Iraqis ever agreed to a withdrawal deadline as late as 'Dec. 31st., 2011' is that Obama won the election over here, and they feel confident he will keep America's promises. Word was that they would have demanded an EARLIER WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE if McCain had won....)

Re: "I will believe we will withdraw completely when our last soldier steps off Iraqi soil................and not before."

At some point-in-time you are going to have to face up to actual reality... (although that might be a few years yet....)
