I don't disagree. All I am saying is if the GM unions are doing this well....imagine how well mgmt is doing. the reasons their designs are so bad is because the company lacks focus and needs to build 7 or 8 excellent models instead of 30 mediocre ones. But they can't lay off employees so they can't downsize. GM employees don't even have copays on their insurance. Give me a break. I agree management should go but the days of full pensions, full healthcare and no layoffs are OVER for everybody but GM unionized employees. Its ridiculous. As of 06 they still had 12K people "furloughed" sitting around at "job banks" doing nothing which was a result of some other arcane labor agreement from 1988 or something. This can't go on, paying people full salaries and benefits for sitting around, 12K people is more employees than GOOG had until a little while ago, sheesh.
