Sam; our actions need to involve a major change of direction, focussing on securing the population rather than chasing the enemy, and delivering effective legitimate governance to the people, bottom-up, at the local level What an interesting read - thanks for posting. I have wanted to wring necks as people seem content with how Afghanistan is evolving. America has too much invested here to mess up yet another war front and yet that is exactly what has happened under the Bush administration. The complacency of republicans in Afghanistan should offend every American. steve
