Donna----Sycophants flog themselves.

sycúoúphant n. A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people. [Latin s_cophanta, informer, slanderer, from Greek sukophants, informer : sukon, fig + -phants, one who shows (from phainein, to show.)

flagúelúlate tr.v. flagúelúlatúed, flagúelúlatúing, flagúelúlates. 1. To whip or flog; scourge. 2. To punish or impel as if by whipping.

Then again, reading some of the posts of the more eccentric of this thread, perhaps the follwing is also apt:

flog a dead horse. 1. To continue to pursue a cause that has no hope of success. 2. To dwell tiresomely on a matter that has already been decided.

Fair Lady GaDonna,

Were you not previously flogged with the damsel Dorine when you knew a spade is a spade but were never the less flogged for your 'IGNORANCE'?

Even I owe you an apology for falling prey to the deceptive cover of a worthwhile "Pet Crusade" and believing that the Knight was that of the HAZ. MAT. class rather than a black knight of the exterminators round reasoning table.

Your only ignorance it seems was in your inability to spell "blood sucking leach".

A bow and a rose for m'lady

Beware for the flower of analysis thrown to you by the black knight is as flawed as the bloom from the poison ivy vine.
