I can't tell whether Rezko was involved with that project at that time. Rezko's company did partner with Woodlawn Preservation on at least one other deal the next year though. Valerie Jarrett, an Obama advisor, cochair or his transition team and probable soon to hold an important job in DC, was on the board of Woodlawn. Later she was involved with another company, The Habitat Company, which managed the same complex. Allison Davis, who hired Obama for his law firm, quit law to become a developer himself in partnership with Rezko and others.
