yes that same article is the standard one drudged out by the Detroit apologizers. There is money available for Tesla but they don't want to give their company away with any more dilution. Elon Musk wants to basically own the company outright. They don't want to ramp to build the midsize 60K model in this economy because they don't know where the bottom is.

I'm actually not that big of a fan of Tesla, I think they are overhyped compared to Fisker and some others. But the truth of the matter is that without Tesla, the Volt which is **supposedly** coming out of GM would never have materialized. The fact that Tesla is able to put cars on the road that I see every day with a company that is funded by **ONE GUY** pretty much says it all as far as Detroit is concerned.

Are those detroit executives like Lutz putting their own money into GM? Why not?
