To all...just to keep hope alive....LRCX mentioned that they have an activity underway to significantly improve their Oxide etch products (in the area of HDP selectivity), Bagely claimed that it will change the landscape of oxide market(share)...they will announce this activity in the very near term. So what could this activity be...well: 1. LRCX could have developed a new technology. 2. LRCX may acquire new technology. They were very evasive and uncomfortable talking about it in the conf call. I suspect that if it was their own technology, they would have touted it long ago and more info would have been given. Therefore, I am speculating that LRCX is acquiring this technology....Bagely and Campbell are buddies...so maybe, just maybe....TRKN and LRCX may be in talks. Remember TRKN has a killer oxide tool with very good selectivity...Both TRKN and LRCX use the Brooks platform for their tools....so with little modification, it may be possible to mount a MORI source on LRCX's tools. Again this is all speculation. We will find out real soon. dave
