Amazing how cheap some good companies are

Agilent has a PE under 10 now while Altr has a higher PE around 12 but it pays a dividend.

Both are cheap on an historical basis unless you think they will lose money in 2009.

Re: "Is there enough blood in the streets to revive this thread yet?"

There's enough blood on the streets for me! Too much! My portfolio is getting hammered!

I'm surprised at how UTEK is acting much better than AMAT.

Best wishes,

Hi Sam,

I didn't follow my advice to you, in 2007, about watching the Feds reaction to the mortgage crisis and I have become a passive buy and hold investor.

There is plenty of blood, but I find I would rather buy ALTR, XLNX, LLTC, MXIM than AMAT, ASML, KLAC, NVLS. I will have my 2009 Roth IRA money soon and I will continue to reinvest my dividends. My target has been equal dollar value for all 8 and KLAC and NVLS are my smallest holdings. I will do some research before next year to see if I will bring KLAC and NVLS up closer the the dollar values of the others.
