Has anyone looked at their Money Market Funds in the past few days? Thanks to Beard-Boy who keeps lowering interest rates (to no avail) MMFs are now crashing. My fund was at 2.97% 10 days ago. Today it is at 2.63%. A drop of 34 basis points in 10 days! Oh, and this fund is the Top Performer in this companys roster of Investor Class MMFs. I see there are a few 4% CDs out there, but they seem to be 1 year or more. I really dont feel comfortable locking up funds for a year. If the government still guarantees CDs one year hence, I wonder what a buck will be worth. Very frustrating to say the least. Cheerio! Elan
