Heard Rush this AM while running to appts. He thinks the high gas problems we had for a month to 6 weeks duration, is what is stopping people from buying cars right now, or at least part of the reason. That people need to know how to plan their budgets, and not have any idea of what to expect with a new car.

Hadn't thought of it exactly that way before...but we are very definitely thinking that...If you don't need a new car, and the price of gas is high, but may change in a minute...then why?

Also, he repeated something we have all heard, and pretty much feel is correct....If/WHEN Taxes go up, and salaries don't, or even no salary, then no one has any confidence....and that includes the stock market. The incoming Admin has promised higher taxes for months now...and the Market definitely is sitting on the sidelines....
