That's great news! What you have here is a city that's about half (D) and half Mormon that have been voting straight (R) for so long they probably think that's just what you do when you vote. They're used to not thinking - it's practically a requirement to BE a Mormon, the religion is so full of contradictions, obvious lies and scientific refutations. The church quit sending me missionaries for me to attempt to free from their hypnotism. I think I'm on some sort of local Mormon shitlist. Surprisingly, a few Mormons crossed over this time, as they did when they helped elect Rocky Anderson mayor. Mormons are sensitive to the economy, which isn't bad here now, but they read the news. I'd expect more to go (D) in the future.
