So then ..

They took away my favorite medicine on 11/11/07.

Within three days my bp hit 235/135. Before getting busted it was reading ~120/80 or so. In addition, I hadn't taken any bp or sugar meds for over six months.

My triglycerides have been recorded at over 800.

Chol profile .. my HDL has always been low.

Plenty of diabetes in my family.

Another risk factor you may not be aware of is Hep-C. HCV causes a sharp rise in TNF in the blood. TNF blocks insulin receptors in the liver. This effect takes place before buildup of center body mass.

Cannabinoids sharply lower TNF. When the TNF has been lowered insulin sensitivity rises.

TNF is inflammatory. It contributes or causes the inflammation of the pancreas. When TNF has been lowered inflammation of the pancreas is reduced and what is left of the pancreas returns to normal production.

So two risk factors not listed: HCV and TNF.
