I know quite a few people who have cashed out their retirement funds. They just can't take the crazy gyrations of he market. My sister in law cashed out a couple of weeks ago when the dow was at 8300. Now, no matter how scared she is, any action she takes from here has to be bullish. She is sitting on a bunch of cash (yes, much less than if she had cashed out 6months ago) and eventually she is going to have to buy something. So the question is, "how close are we to the point where everyone who will sell, has sold?"

Same with me, no matter how bearish I got, I can't really do much to affect the market negatively. I suppose I could short some stocks, but then I become a guaranteed future buyer.
