We may not be talking about it, but believe me I am thinking about it. It depends on how much downside management they give the analysts. As of now, I believe the lowest estimate for eps for 98 are $1.00 even. If that falls significantly, then downsid would be 25-30 times that figure, I would think. Let's hope we don't have to ponder that one. It's ostrich time if it comes to that:-)

Steve

p.s. Oh, yea, I didn't discount the fact that mgnt.'s "nothing's changed" comment would have been a lie. Maybe the thing trades at 10X the revised estimate for 98(God help us).

[price effect of missing...]

There's so much #@$%^! bad news factored into the price already (gas leaks! no silica for lenses! cancelled orders! Komatsu/Coherent/Lambda Physics taking over! Frequency doubling! EUV! X-rays! beam-pointing! vibrations! e-beams! the internet is dead - no need for silicon anymore!!!) that if they just come in flat from last quarter, IF there is any justice in these markets, there will be a bounce. I'd expect a few cents below last quarter would hold a flat price at these levels. Same as last quarter, bounce; equal to expectations, small gap up; beat expectations, big gap up.

What do I know? In at 36 and 34.

Bruce Tiemann

The stock has already tanked on the notion that earnings are weak.

If they are, it may go down a little briefly. I think it will trade very similiar to ASND if it is weak.

If it's strong and the company makes positive comments.. GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! :-)

Aloha

This stock has already been hammered so the downside risk isn't very low. I think 25 is a bottom for a report that is a few cents away from $0.21.
