Veto proof? i doubt it. D's are bent over to receive offerings from Wall St. just like the R's.

If I'm not mistaken, that act was slipped into the budget bill at the 11th hour by non other than Phil Graham - McCain's former economic adviser. He was McCain's economic advisor until he blamed the hooplah over the the current economic mess on a bunch of whiners. Given the bill was over 200 pages long and introduced at the last minute, I doubt if more than a few congressmen even read it. They all wanted to go home and drink eggnog. Oh, and Graham was a dyed-in-the-wool conservative republican, in case you were wondering. craig
