Actually........I'd define how liberal talking heads have behaved as hateful. It seems they kind of thrive on hate.

But I think Buddy is just plain confused when he attributes disapproval to being full of hate or hateful though, and that's what he needs to admit.

We must be careful........words DO have meaning.

As I mentioned... the polling reports INTENSITY of negative and positive responses to the President, as well as the over-all total 'positives' and 'negatives'.

So... that polling number (for the most intense slice of the disapproving folks) is what probably equates most closely with the term (the term used by Prop and Neeka) 'hate'.

Yes, even degrees of 'hate' can be measured. :-)

Re: "I see no reason to "hate" the man (President Bush) any more than I hate Jimmy Carter for instance."

(Well... there is the superior American economic performance during the Carter years but, hey! Who's counting! <GGG>)

I agree with your sentiment though, JL.

No need to 'hate'.

It's mostly foolish and potentially destructive.

(Though... there should be *nothing wrong* in simply OBSERVING THE REALITY that there *are* numerous folks out there who revel in hatred. Just as the various 'Bush' discussion threads saw many instances of hatred of Bush expressed over the years, so too are we now seeing numerous examples of hatred of President-in-waiting Obama on some of those same discussion threads.)

Seems some folks just are happiest when they are hating....

(Which was the point I expressed by referring to the quantified numbers the long-running Gallup Poll has illuminated.....)
