Hate to say it, but it depends...on whether the assets get rolled into another brokerage, whether SIPC claims have to be filed, etc.

Fido, Vanguard and even Chuckles Schwab seem to have weathered the storm pretty well so far......

But I would eventually get my money back?

I dont feel like trading because what if a bought a stock at 10, etrade gets taken over and the stock falls to 5 while i'l have no ability to trade.

I guess my rollover 401K would be the hardest to move quickly.

FYI I am happy with Etrade and the products.
Scott Trade? Ameritrade?
