Much of the new parts of the biotech industry, the companies that don't have significant sales or are much more than a year away from drug approval, have some real problems.

Venture capital has pulled back - very little funding, and almost no new biotech companies.

The big drug companies with cash are in a great position.

The very bad news may be much less biotech development.
