well there are tons of electric cars around me, dozens of car startups and electric chargers popping up at the malls so I don't see this as a decades long endeavor.

"I suppose it is possible, that a really radical conversion to solar could be accomplished in 3-4 years, and lots of J6P's could be deployed preping roof tops for panels starting next month." I'd LOVE to see this happen. Hell, I'd even back away from the computer, stop shorting for a while and go join the J6p's installing small solar and wind systems, just to learn how it all works. That's stimulus even (R)'s could believe in, much better than just sending people checks, with long term benefits.
