gregor I like your work and read your blog. Don't you think however that people on this thread and yourself should better distinguish between "printed" money and "sterilized" money which is made by issuing extra debt?

So far I see no evidence the US is "printing". People are still falling all over themselves to buy our debt.

This is a very key issue. As long as the US can muddle through by continuing to issue more debt then I don't see the potential for any "printing" or hyperinflation.

which scenario will increase the power of those with the most power today? Debasing the dollar?
i think the psychology of fear is not as operative here as you make out

So where exactly is this huge expansion of the monetary base getting hung up? Thus far it is not getting out into the system.

Does it have something to do with the velocity of money flow? Hoarding the funds in reserve at the banks?
