"Gold held up much better"

No it didn't
You are talking about Comex gold and silver. Physical silver has held up better than Comex gold. The Comex is meaningless

In fact do you know a fellow named Bart Chilton?
Here's what he wrote to me 3 weeks ago

"Thank you for your e-mail. The CFTC's recently-announced investigation into the silver market is ongoing. I am hopeful that this fresh look will yield some results. I will be pleased to send you an update when we can provide more information.

Thank you again for the e-mail.

B"

CFTC Relents and Probes Silver Market
Persistent Complaints of Foul Play Draw the Still-Skeptical Agency to Investigate

"Bart Chilton, one of the CFTC commissioners, said he has received about 700 emails from silver investors since August, far more than the estimated 100 he received from May to July. Mr. Chilton, a Democrat who has criticized the CFTC as doing a poor job communicating with consumers, says he has spent nights and weekends personally answering emails."

thanks for your thoughts on silver. i am not too comfortable holding US dollars as their are some think tanks in europe and elsewhere which are thinking of a dollar devaluation either by way of treasury default or by replacing the dollar with amero. in a deflation i have always heard cash is king. but again the question is cash of which country?? any thoughts?
