Absolutely...no one in either party of the government is the least bit concerned with a sustainable economic model for this country.

Going cold turkey will result in economic destruction that will take decades, if ever, to fix.
I think we had enough of a taste and have to lean towards a more systematic unwinding of the current system

I doubt anyone will do it, but this could be a PERFECT opportunity for America to build a new model citizen and economy, one not based on consumption.

The entire world can't live like we do, but we've sold that idea worldwide for years with our TV shows. We never thought they actually start to DO it! But they have.

I'd be real proud of our country if we sold a new idea of the right way to live and what success means to the world, one not based on consumption.
