20% seems agressive, given that you're calling for a vast increase in electical use. What are you gonna do for the other 80%.

Bear in mind, the existing "bad energy" (coal and nuke) plants won't last forever. So you'll have to come up with something to replace plants that become obsolete, won't you?

Also since you can't build anymore where is the growth in electrical use gonna come from?

geothermal, solar and wind. These snap on to the EXISTING grid that is the smartgrid.

Anything that generates electricity could be said to "snap on" to the existing grid. Whats "smart" about it?

Since solar and wind aren't up 24-7 reliably, what is your back up gonna be when they're not available?
