Speaking of greedy asshole employers, the Pelosi's vineyards are non-union:

As Peter Schweizer notes in his best-selling expose of liberal hypocrisy, "Do As I Say (Not As I Do)," part of the fortune of this defender of the working man is a Napa Valley vineyard worth $25 million that she owns with her husband. The vineyard produces expensive grapes for high-end wines. Napa grapes bring up to $4,000 a ton compared with $300 a ton for, say, San Joaquin grapes.

But Pelosi, winner of the 2003 Cesar Chavez award from the United Farm Workers, hires only nonunion workers and sells these grapes to nonunion wineries. Schweizer places Pelosi in a chapter titled "Workers of the World Unite Somewhere Else." UFW members need not apply at the Pelosi family vineyards.

Which makes Pelosi's steadfast opposition to any attempts to enhance border security and stem the flow of illegal immigration into the U.S. all the more interesting since she seems to be among those rich employers who financially benefit from a steady supply of cheap foreign labor.

She led the opposition and voted against the Secure Fence Act of 2006 recently signed into law by President Bush to build a 700-mile fence along the U.S.-Mexican border.

She opposed the Real ID Act of 2005, a valuable anti-terror tool, while bragging that Democrats under her leadership "defeated Republican attempts to restrict the easily forged Matricula Consular card" issued by the Mexican government.

She voted against a bill to make employers such as herself financially liable for hospital costs if undocumented employees seek medical attention, preferring that either taxpayers foot the bill or that hospitals close under the burden, as many are doing throughout the Southwest.

In 2005 she voted against barring the issuance of driver's licenses to illegal aliens and against a requirement that businesses use an electronic system to verify whether new hires have the legal right to work in the U.S.

Nor has Pelosi been a fan of employer sanctions against the hiring of illegal aliens. In 2003, she accused immigration officers of conducting "terrorizing raids" on Wal-Mart stores that led to the arrest of more than 300 illegal aliens.

Loraine Stewart, a farmworker advocate with Napa Valley Community Housing, in a 2004 San Francisco Chronicle article estimated that half of the migrant labor force in the valley consisted of undocumented workers, without whom "not one bottle of wine would get made here."

Well that's great to hear!

When/if the Supreme Court asks to see it, Obama will be able to oblige them.

I'm really hoping he puts this silly issue to rest once and for all. You see, there really are quite a few Americans who are concerned and would like to at least see the darned thing if that's not asking too much?

The one he produced has too many questions linked to its authenticity, so let him release the one that's sealed.

Is it the same certificate O provided at his website?

>Fukino said she has “personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures."<

...."Fukino said she has “personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures." "....

I don't think anyone has a problem with that...it is where exactly was the location of birth...should not be a big problem with producing it.

I don't think there are many people hoping he was born in Kenya...not at this time when he has been elected.

Fukino's remarks are old now----those were made in August 2008.

What Fukino did not say was what was or is on the 'original' certificate.

That is what Obama must, and I say must release.----the original

The diploma like certificate on the net and that is being said to be Obama's birth certificate is not imo Obama's original birth certificate--at best it is a simple certification by Fukino saying he was born. (No signatures, no detail on family and addresses, hospitals, witnesses, residence(s), countries, mother and father's places of birth----doctors or doctor presiding at the birth----date and hour of birth. )

The orginal should be full of truly extensive details.

I do genealogy work as well have lived in Hawaii and know what documents look like there.

Obama never released the original from day one-------seems to me he may have something to hide or doesn't want to acknowledge.

That is a modern day piece of paper saying he was born.

It is not the original certificate of 1961. There were no computers in 1961 to do a copy such as is shown in that article.

In 1961, the country had just gone through the introduction of electrical typewriters. That piece of paper is not a 1961 document nor is it a facsimile of a 1961 document.

Factcheck.org cannot be trusted imo. It is managed and operated by liberals and is not unbiased.

Factcheck.org states: staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate.

The State of Hawaii has said unequivocally that the only person that has legal access to the original Birth Certificate is Barack Obama.

The only way the staff at factcheck could have "seen, touched, examined and photographed the original" would be if they were invited to attend a meeting where the original BC was produced by Barack Obama himself. If that had happened the event would have been all over the news. Besides.........why would BO give factcheck staff exclusive access to his BC?

I would have to willingly suspend disbelief over their conclusions. In fact I couldn't care less what the people at factcheck.org "conclude."

Barack Obama needs to put this issue to rest. He needs to assure Americans that he was born in America. He needs to produce the original Birth Certificate and it needs to be seen by Supreme Court Justice Roberts before he swears him in on Jan 20............and Obama knows that.

We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.
