Oh, I think it's crazy to short solar stocks. I'm one of the nutballs who actually would love to solarize my home and get off the grid. And I'm one of the pro-coal people!!

I agree with you. Obama will definitely be alternate energy friendly. Probably a good thing to look at for investment during the weak market as a buying opportunity.

I always see high energy costs as a kind of tax. It is a cost that permeates every aspect of our economy. In other words, wouldn't it be beneficial to our economy to have lower petrol costs?

We certainly had a booming economy...when crude was sub $20.

With lower prices for crude, I think that the alternate energy movement will have a tough time getting off the ground. If GWB had any responsibility for the price of oil (which I ain't saying is the case), whether by design or accident, it was the best thing for the alternate energy movement.
