What Lizzie is trying to say is that the democrats who controlled congress for the last 2 years and approved and enlarged the budgets are not responsible. It is a worthless argument on her part, but that is how people in California look at things...(s)

The budget process for the U.S. Federal government involves both the executive and legislative branches of government. The President submits a budget to Congress, which then passes legislation to actually appropriate and authorize funds to be spent.

The Reagan mentality is to bankrupt government. Borrow and spend and steal. Their hatred of the public wealth and commonwealth is so great they want to "starve the beast", that is drain our country of every dollar so we won't be able to afford to take care of anything or anyone. But where does all the money go? To the top 1% cronies and offshore and nowhere else. The middleclass hass been destroyed by Reagan and the Bushies. They don't give a damn about Joe The Plumbers or anyone else making less than huge bucks. It's very clear now. And their massive deregulation is just a huge license to cheat and steal, but the only ones who get to are their cronies. Just like Enron spread nationally, exactly like that. It's the whole Enron rip off the public mentality which actually desorys capitalism. It's just plain wrong.
