Think about it......the problems are huge.....housing, banks, cars, the consumer etc so I don't think its possible to be moving along that much faster than we are. It took at least a decade to create these problems.....they won't go away in a matter of a few weeks.

Exactly. It may take 10-20 years. And the level of prosperity we enjoyed 10 years ago may never be equaled.

Bottom line: I don't think we as close to the cliff as the stock markets would have us believe.....people are still shopping, restaurants are still busy, life is still going on etc. Remember the markets have predicted ten of the last 3 recessions. Not that I am saying we won't have a recession but that it may not be as bad as the stock market seems to be predicting.

We'll see. I'm not spending discretionary money. Are you?
