<Windows experience initiative> Now there's a fine euphemism. But it seems that they are allowed to change the wallpaper, doesn't that affect the "Windows experience initiative"? Or does that only apply to their applications that they want to impose on every desktop?

Derek or anyone, have you ever seen the first version of Zerox's Ventura Publisher (VP)? It ran in DOS. Anyway when I got it I also had Windows 1.2 (which sucked big time)it came on a 286 HP Vectra. VP on the other hand was amazing and powerful. Well the next time I upgraded Windows to a new version it looked exactly like VP (except Windows had color. I'm wondering which one was first to market and if Windows is based on VP.

Btw. I still load up VP on one of my machine on occasion to translate files.

Compaq reported the same BS.
I made an impulse stock purchase in NSCP at close today because of this. I hope Reno ups the 1Mil/day penalty by at least 10 fold. 1 mil is pizza-money for Gates.
