Yes, Palin intentionally wanted the slaughtering in the background, she was asked upfront and said it was fine. I just can't fathom the mentality. At the very least it sickens a lot of people right before Thanksgiving and hurts the poultry industry. At worst, it shows a certain morbid sadistic streak in her, similar to those who cheered the Abu Graib business. The irony is that Palin is supposedly supported by devout Christians. Apparently, she doesn't share Christ or St. Francis's compassion for animals. Just the opposite. But nothing remotely christian about that kind of behavior at all.
