Sticks: "Westell contends that the Bell Canada RFP is a non-exclusive, non-commitment award, and therefore undoable".

What? Westell lost the contract for Bell Canada.... period. Alcatel has the contract and Westell has an order for a few thousand modems. Alcatel indicates they won a contract, Westell thinks it's undoable. Fellows you lost the contract and I'm hoping this wasn't one of the BIG-3 contracts mentioned during the last conference call. Gary indicated that long-term multi-year contracts are being finalized, well if this is the case, Alcatel has the contract and Westell is now in denial mode.

The word that really gets me is "UNDOABLE". If the contract with Alcatel is non-exclusive, why can't Alcatel sell some equipment and Westell sell some equipment. Why does the Alcatel contract have to be undone for Westell to be included? I don't understand the undoable wording... until later.

[Conference call]

<<< I hope someone asks Seamans why BC won't confirm that the RFP is non-exclusive. (I'm assuming someone at Telechoice has asked and not received a clarification)>>>

I'm making my list of questions now, so if no one steps up to the plate on the exclusivity question, I will.

Not exactly anxious to introduce myself. :/

I did hear Westell's trying to get the BC press out the door, so if it's ready they may be able to do it with the numbers. Not sure how this works.

Cheers!
