Ed, I like selling puts to go long, but your buying of the calls is a little to bullish for me. I would have reserved the buying power. If the stock goes down you'll lose the money on the calls and then you'll have to buy the stock at 35 anyways. I would have shorted the puts and then sold 40 calls once the stock ran up. But this market seems to save everyone's butts. There was an interesting note in Thestreet.com yesterday about shorting puts being a bull-only strategy and the short of it was that they didn't think most people really understand why there's risk in shorting puts. I belive they made a mistake though in that they said there was unlimited risk in shorting puts. It is quite the opposite, there's totally limited risk. Good luck
