Turn off the rightwing propaganda smear media. The facts are clear. The Phil Gramm wing of the GOP came out of Reagan's S+L deregulation and repeated the same mistake times 100. With Bush-Cheney and Delay in charge they repealed all the FDR protections against corporate corruption and opened the floodgates for gross abuse. Guys like Barney Frank were complaining the entire time. Or most of the time anyway. The problem was, the Bush GOP shunned the regulators and blocked any investigations. Probably why Eliot Spitzer was wiretapped and busted. The Reagan-Bush-Delay GOP is for 100% deregulation of the big industries they represent. And to make matters worse, they want to privatize and rip off Social Security. And ship all our manufacturing jobs overseas. Why dod you think they're so horny to open up Colombia? More cheap labor and natural resources to rape. Who cares if the regime they back reps only the top 1% and it would launder billions in cocaine money.
